Hangar 9 Arrow RTF

I went to Illinois yesterday to visit a buddy, did some wrenching on my truck, had a few frosty beverages.
He pulls this out of the attic of his garage
He says do you want it? It has one tank of fuel through it, he bought it 4 years ago and lost interest.

He gave it to me, free. We fired it up in the garage, runs awesome.
It is all fm stuff, I will be converting it to Spektrum.
Anybody want a JR sport s400 tx and rx? Free.

Hell Ya!!!! I bet ya could that plane hoovering, waterfalls, some other kind of spinny tricks...

You guys really think it will hover?
The only aircraft that should hover is helicopters and Harriers and those goofy looking planes with 2 props that the engines pivot.

HOVERING SHOULDN'T BE AN ISSUE!!!!!!!!

So I fired up the arrow today on that old fuel, like 4 years old, it ran for awhile then quit, would restart and kill, when I gave it throttle it would kill....Fuel tank is 1/2 full
Is 4 year old fuel likely the issue?

I think I answered my own question, topped off the tank with some heli fuel, idles perfect, holds wfo.
