new helicopter

Well my new heli showed up today!!! Raptor 90se, ys91sr, jr8917hv servos for cyclic, jr8900g tail rotor servo, jr7703d gyro, sektrum 7100r reciever, curtis muscle pipe, hyperion 3300 45c lipo reciever pack.
This will be my first time runnin the new high voltage servos, they are powered directly off a 2 cell lipo. 7100r has a built in voltage regulator to power tail rotor,gyro and throttle @ 5.2 volts and a built in governor.
I have wanted to have a heli to fly airplane style as I'm really not into 3d ( airplanes or heli's ) and this should be the ticket, well on the heli's end any way, i'm certainly the weak part of the flying equation with this chopper and if it doesn't do what i want it to it will be 100% my doing
Still not sure what I'm gonna run for blades but looking @ the sab 700mm fai/f3c blades and some type of custom painted canopy.
If all goes well I'll have it out next weekend

Well as of this morning the new chopper is almost ready to fly!!!! Need to get a little set-up time with scott and its time to fly

Thats the canopy I painted tonight, kinda basic but should look ok once i get lettering done. Hope I will get to fly it on sunday, after I pick up another jr8917hv servo to replace the one I wrecked the other night Note to self: Take blades out of blade holder before you turn on radio, doesn't take long to destroy a 150.00 high voltage servo using that technique

Thanks Tom I don't know how to do flames or airbrush so its not even an option, I can mask and make stuff shiny, thats all
I wanted to keep the paint simple but make it so it goes with the rest of the heli. The blades are carbon fiber with white and gold stripes, the frame and most other components are carbon fiber and red anodized, even those cool jr servo cases.

A couple pics of frame and electronics installation. I used that expandable cable shielding on all the servo leads, looks good and clean but kinda pia to put on till ya get the hang of it

They came from readyheli. They have alot of cool little heli parts i never saw before

Yep 710's. didn't really notice how big it was till I looked at the pics of it on my dining room table. I have been workin on that 35% extra 260 @ the same time so it seamed kinda small in comparison tho
