Well I tried that spektrum diode in the reciever and it does help but I can still get both the ar8000 and sattlite to flash Mad Mad Tried two other regulators and one other battery pack and still the same results. I really want this spektrum stuff to work but i'm losing faith quickly. I might go back to the multiplex Very Happy

I will be happy to pull the ar7000 from my plane and bring it over. I suspect there is something wrong with your ar8000. Let me know if your up for this. I think it would be a worthwhile exercise.

What do you mean it flashes. Do the servos work? Is it bound.

The negative lead of the servo or battery goes on top.

Here is the link I told you about. Not sure if it will help but is sounds like the blinking lights are actually a feature written into the newest firmware to show a low power condition was experienced during flight, but it should never lose it's link. Hope this doesn't cause even more confusion on the issue.

Rog, Dave's receiver will begin to blink on the bench after exercising the servos several times. George sold Dave a Spektrum capacitor to help with this problem and it sounds like it has definitely helped but Dave can still get get the led's to blink if he cranks around on the sticks really fast. Any thoughts?

I can't get mine to blink. Even put in a 4 cell and a digital servo. Held the servo arm while moving the stick. The battery is small and hasn't been charged for awhile. Shut the tranny off and on. no blink. Maybe a servo is binding.

Next thing would be to try a different reciever.

I tried a couple things. I held different servos to a stalled servo codition, that is not letting them move at all (all the servos are 170 oz besides the 9254 on the tail rotor) and couldn't get the blinking condition. Like i said in another post I tried different regulators and batteries, only when I move the sticks very very fast, something I would never do while flying can I get the lights to go to blinking mode. so it doesnt seem like a voltage thing, its like the reciever gets confused. Under normal stick movements I can't get the lights to blink.
I'm gonna cal horizon tomorrow and then try a different reciever I guess.

Hey Scott, I did find a couple different posts that guys using flybarless controllers ( v-bar, beast ect ) were having the same problem, didnt seem to affect how the heli's flew. Something to do with the heli not flying and the servos not matching the stick movement commands set by the transmitter.

Thats an idea, take the Beast out of the equation, plug all the servos into the 8000 and see what happens?

Can you use the Beast just as a tail gyro?
Hook up everything to the 8000 like normal and treat the Beast like a single axis gyro, hook it up like a tail gyro.

Ditto on the flybarless blade. That thing looks like it actually flys good.
