So this is my progress so far on my new heli. Raptor 60, ys 61 engine, beastx 3 axis gyro, g force flbarless head, spektrum ar8000 reciever, fromco 2600mah li-ion reciever batt with 5.1 volt regulator, futaba 9254 coreless tail servo, all other servo's are spektum h6040 digital/coreless titanium gear, SAB 690mm main blades, century 90 size jet ranger fuse.
As of tonight its all set up and ready to test fly (thanks Scott!!!). After test flights and all set up and flight controls are satisfactory I'll start fitting the fuse to mechanics and then continue on to paint.
I have wanted a scale rc jet ranger for almost 35 years so I figure its about time Very Happy

Thanks Very Happy Just got stock landing gear fitted ( will be replaced by actual jet ranger gear ). I'm thinkin maybe 10 or so hours to have the fuse completely fitted ready to remove and start paint prep work.
Everything is really fitting good and I'm even gonna be able to use the stock boom support's, just need to shorten them up about 3".
Also am going to have to cut a hole in the bottom to displace hot air from the fan. Both my other raptors that are in scale fuse's have the cooling hole and so far have never had any over heating issue's.

Well @ this point the heli is very close to being finnished , minus paint of course. have to mount fuel/vent fittings, figure where I want exhaust to exit fuse, do a little adjustment on forward fuse alignment pins and get the scale landing gear. I talked to Emile tonight and he is gonna start fabing my gear tomorrow and will have it ready to ship by the begining of the week.
I'll be doing paint prep work on the fuse as soon as the gear is here and fitted, then I'll be painting within a week or two.
Gonna test fly with out the fuse on ( Scott's tryin to convince me thats the right thing to do ) Very Happy Very Happy

Did you have to cut your pitch arm on your Raptor so it would not make contact on top of the fuse inside ? Question

Nope didn't have to cut the pitch arm, everything fit perfect inside the fuse with the exception of the tail rotor gear box that I had to dremel some off to fit in the rather small tail boom.

Hi Dave:

This really a great project. I love the mechanics of these things, wish I could fly them but I don't think I would ever be good enough to fly anything worth more than $100.00, the fear of loss would would inhibit my single channel (narrow bandwith) brain.
