Yeah Rob, you are at the transitional place, take her up higher and push that right stick forward and counter the nose down tendencies with a little collective to push her into forward flight.

Does the snow help for padding?

Probably need a couple feet of it to really help

Not really, at about 20 seconds a full blade stopped inverted auto rotation!
