Just like the F4 Phantom, to quote a AF Pilot, "with enough power you can make a brick fly". J79 w/3-stage AB, can you say "go vertical".

My all time favorite jet, those wing tips, the intake shield plates, the anhederal stab, and those monster exhaust's , whats not to love

It will take off from dry asphalt. It wears out the floats real fast.

I see when you hit the blacktop you had an automatic braking system.
Like you said a little rough on the floats though.
