Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Hope ya all have a good one and don't eat too much.

Mine turned out great. My wife (Virginia) had hip replacement surgery Monday, all went well and I brought my bride of 62 years home Thanksgiving morning.

Since I enjoy cooking I did our traditional meal, turkey, cornbread stuffing, mashed turnip with butter, candied yams , Waldorf -cranberry salad, small creamed onions, pumpkin and mincemeat (with rum ) pies.

I do all the cooking since I retired it is my girls turn to sit back while I repay her for the many years she did the meal preparation.

Glad to hear all went well with your wife's hip replacement. Been there twice.

I hope her therapy goes well. It is tough at first but does get better.

Steve I told Virginia how well you did which encouraged her. She knew she had to have the surgery , she was bone on bone which was very painful. She is doing really well with the walker and should do good with the therapy.
